Those here with E9X BMWs are probably aware that !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! My M3 also had the battery wiring recalled, for those of you here with E9X M3s. The reason for the recalls was because of a risk of fire. While you’re probably aware of the recall, you might not be aware that a fix is available. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! you’re greeted by this message:
It says that the fixes are unavailable; this simply isn’t true. I had my M3 in for service before the Nashville Oppo meet and they asked me if I wanted the recalls done, which of course I did. Upon picking up my car, I asked if they would be able to take care of my 328i, to which they also replied yes. So I scheduled an appointment. They told me that for BMW hasn’t published the fact that the recall parts are available, whether it’s due to a lack of parts, I don’t know they didn’t specify a reason. The dealer did say they try to fix the cars that come in for service and will also try and fix your car if you call and ask about it.
Brought my car in yesterday and they were able to get both recalls done. So if you’ve got one of the affected vehicles and want the fixes done soon, call BMW and ask about the recalls.

No open recalls listed for my VIN on both the BMW and NHTSA websites.

my 2011 Ranger shows no open recalls even though it’s supposed to have a suspect Takata passenger side inflator.

What year is yours? It’s possible some of the later 2011 cars aren’t affected.

I was waiting until I got a letter in the mail telling me that they were ready, so I’m glad I was able to get both cars taken care of.

Yeah I have both on the 3 series with BMW saying there isn’t a fix yet but we’ll see when I take it in for service.

I had to press the issue on getting my airbag done.

I was surprised that they had the parts and it still says remedy unavailable.

Mine is a 2011 with an August 2011 build date. I’ve always wondered why it’s not a 2012 with that build date but there you have it.

Well, the E92 didn’t get the LCI until 2011, so it’s possible that they changed the wiring on the LCI cars.

Strange. It took me a little because I didn’t know the fix was available. My 3 had it done before it was sold to me.

They were giving precedence to cars in more humid climates, but I’d waited over a year since I got the initial letter.

I think I got the letters in early 2016, when I also had the 128i. I had the M3 taken care of in late 2017.

I still haven’t taken mine in for the airbag. I better get all these done soon.

Well, that will give me a reason to get that airbag done at the same time!

I didn’t realize you had an E9X.

Might as well get them all taken care of at the same time.

I punched my VIN in (2009 335i) and only the “Blower Motor Wiring” one came up. I did already have the airbag done, but shouldn’t my car fall under the PCV valve heater one as well? Pretty sure I didn’t have that done. Gonna try and schedule at the dealer and see what they say... Thanks for the heads-up!

Guess I got lucky or something. I don’t have that recall supposedly, and I got my airbag fixed a while ago.

Looks like the PVC valve is only for the N52 engines, so the N54 in your car wouldn’t be included. Always worth a call since you should get the blower motor wiring replaced.

The PVC issue seems to only be on the N52 cars, the wiring harness only went to 2011 cars. Textured Soy Protein didn’t have any recalls either, his is a 2011 335i.

Yup, was completely unaware you also had an E9X M3. Looking back at your posts it looks like you got it when I was away from Oppo.
